Bernie Sanders and Larry David spoof Curb Your Enthusiasm on SNL
Sanders took the stage alongside host and doppelganger Larry David (giving David the opportunity to show just how on-point his Sanders impersonation really is), and guess what?
While there were hopes Bernie would appear as himself alongside David’s incredible impression, in fact Sanders featured in a Titanic-esque sketch about migrants coming to NY.
“Sounds like socialism to me”, David’s character responded.
Hours ahead of his appearance, Sanders showed his full support for friend and doppelgänger David, changing his website and Twitter profile momentarily.

“What’s the difference”, David said. In October, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton appeared as a bartender named Val during a sketch with Kate McKinnon as Clinton. Sanders appeared again with David to introduce the show’s performing artist, “The 1975”.
And we should keep in mind that jokes about Sanders being a socialist are not as helpful as some on the left may think.
