Bernie Sanders Blasts Donald Trump Over Steve Bannon Appointment
Sanders says the appointment is “totally unacceptable”.
Unfortunately, Mr. Trump’s election has already empowered white nationalists and their ilk, leading to an escalation of hate crimes committed against Muslim Americans, African Americans, Hispanic Americans, and Jewish Americans in recent weeks.
The interview largely didn’t address Bannon’s previous controversies, though he denied being a “white nationalist”.
It’s just remarkable, just horrendous, absolutely horrendous to have somebody who’s a clear white supremacist leader in that position.
After he and other GOP governors met with Vice President-elect Mike Pence, Baker said he was optimistic that Trump’s team would be willing to listen to the states and thought he could find common policy ground with the new White House.

“If Trump is serious about seeking unity the first thing he should do is rescind the appointment of Steve Bannon”.

“Regardless of Bannon, if (Trump’s) inner circle is fighting against itself with major players leaving the process, combined with a struggle between those favoring loyalty versus those favoring competence, the Trump administration could be wasting precious time in getting its transition moving”, he said.
