Bernie Sanders Endorses Hillary Clinton for President
On Tuesday, Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders officially endorsed his political rival former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton for the Democratic Primary contest to be President of the United States.
Speaking in front of some of his most passionate supporters – having won the New Hampshire primary in February – Mr. Sanders announced that Ms. Clinton “must become our next president”.
Declaring that unity among Democrats was necessary to defeat Trump, Sanders gave his long-awaited endorsement to Clinton at a rally in Portsmouth, N.H.
Many said that Sanders will have to take to the trail and campaign in earnest if he hopes to sway some of his supporters to Clinton’s side. “What we need to do is we need to unify around our principles and our ideals”, he said.
Weaver added that he does not want Trump to win the White House.
Trump’s campaign is also trying to woo disgruntled Sanders supporters who are fed up with the establishment.
“Hillary is still in the back pocket of Wall Street”, Sandoval said.
“I think Hillary Clinton is a wonderful, wonderful candidate”, Steirer said. The FBI concluded after an investigation that it would not recommend criminal charges against Clinton, though its director, James Comey, said the probe had shown Clinton and others had been “careless”.
A new GenForward poll of adults ages 18 to 30 found that Clinton was struggling to make inroads among young Americans who overwhelmingly supported Sanders. “To everyone here and everyone cross the country who poured your heart and soul into Sen”. He plans to cast his vote at the convention for Sanders.
“I am proud to be fighting alongside you”, she said.
According to him, Clinton believes that the “minimum wage must be raised to a living wage and she wants to create millions of new jobs by rebuilding the country’s crumbling infrastructure”. “But Bernie is saying the outcome of this election is critical for us to continue to move things in a progressive direction”.
“Your refusal to answer questions regarding one of the most important investigations of someone who seeks to serve in the highest office in this land is an absolute abdication of your responsibility”, said Rep. Bob Goodlatte, R-Va. I served with her in the U.S. Senate and know her as a fierce advocate for the rights of our children.
