“Bernie Sanders: speaking tonight in Mason City, Iowa”.
With less than a week left until the Iowa caucuses Vermont Sen.
In a wide-ranging interview, Sanders called the notion that he must win Iowa’s caucuses against Hillary Clinton “mythology”, but appeared to lower expectations about his challenge to the Democratic front-runner in next Monday’s lead-off caucuses.
“If I lose Iowa by two votes and end up with virtually the same number of delegates, is that a must-lose situation?”
Sanders told Holt he can “work with Republicans”, highlighting legislation for providing healthcare to veterans.
Former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, who has long criticized the DNC’s debate schedule, supports adding the debate in New Hampshire. “I haven’t checked the bank account lately”.
On Wednesday night, an emotional actress Susan Sarandon took the stage at Music Man Square in Mason City to introduce friend and current Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.
In a recent interview with Politico, Glen Thrush wrote Obama, “couldn’t hide his obvious affection for Clinton or his implicit feeling that she, not Sanders, best understands the unpalatably pragmatic demands of a presidency he likens to the world’s most challenging walk-and-chew-gum exercise”.
On Wednesday, Obama and Sanders are set to begin meeting behind closed doors at 11:45 a.m. ET.
Hillary Clinton was back in Iowa on Wednesday, and Bernie Sanders is on his way back after a meeting in the Oval Office.
“If the Clinton campaign will commit to this schedule, we would ask the DNC to arrange a debate in New Hampshire on February 4”, Weaver said.
“Some elements of the establishment really will be upset”, he added. “I wish we could but I don’t think we can”, he said. “Sanders has significant momentum”. More information will be released in the New Hampshire Union Leader and at UnionLeader.com in the coming days.
“Would I like her to come on board?” The ad shows open corn fields, factory workers and farmers lifting hay as Sanders speaks of making college and health care more affordable, ensuring equal pay for women, and a living wage for all. I knew her before you knew her, before she was Elizabeth Warren.
Sanders’ new position contradicts what he said earlier this month.
