Bernie Sanders hits Hillary Clinton’

Clinton has “mischaracterized” his remarks on guns, Sanders said at a candidate forum Friday in SC, suggesting that she had twisted the exchange for her own ends. Interestingly, black voters (75%) and white voters (72%) are equally as likely to trust Clinton to handle issues of concern to the black community.

During a town hall meeting in Windham, Clinton said in response to a question that she would seek greater global coordination to address the threat of the Islamic State.

Don’t your agreements far outweigh your disagreements?

“Well, thats – well, the answer is yes and no”, Sanders responded.

The League of Conservation Voters Action Fund, a key environmentalist organization, endorsed Hillary Clinton on Monday in New Hampshire, touting her as the most qualified and prepared candidate in the field.

“I don’t believe we should at all consider putting American troops into the area to fight ISIS”, she said. “And we didn’t feel the need to do that”.

Of course I do. “And I think even there we need to do a lot more research so that we know exactly how we’re going to help people for whom medical marijuana provides relief”. We have to break up these huge financial institutions.

The first question of the debate was directed to Clinton: “Have you changed your positions for political expediency?”

“You know what, the reason we have the debt is because George bush falsely led us into war”, O’Malley said, drawing cheers. That was – Hillary Clinton took a little while to get there.

In his opening speech, Sanders stated his platform: the campaign finance system is corrupt and is undermining American democracy; it is the moral responsibility of humans to leave the Earth as a habitable planet for their children and grandchildren; instead of money for prisons, the United States should put money into jobs and children.

Sanders argued that if we were serious about criminal justice reform and preventing many thousands of lives from being impacted because of criminal convictions for marijuana possession. Clinton is the devil. Of course, many of these people on the left also bashed President Obama and former President Bill Clinton after they were elected.

The truth is that Sanders defeats Trump by a wider margin than Clinton in a general election. At the forum, and in interviews afterward, O’Malley is hitting the Vermont Socialist hard for being a Bernie-come-lately to the Democratic Party, running and serving as an “independent” though he caucuses as a Democrat.

Later in the evening, Clinton wooed gay voters – the demographic has emerged as a political and financial force in the Democratic Party – with promises “not to forget how much work still lies ahead” to protect their rights even after the Supreme Court’s watershed same-sex marriage decision. Sanders said his agenda will ultimately resonate with African Americans, including raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour and investing in education.
