Bethesda has “concerns” over Battlecry
Bethesda obviously do have a high standard for games, and only want to produce excellent content. That’s great to see.
“We have concerns about the Battlecry game and whether it is meeting the objectives we have for it”, reads a statement supplied to Progress Bar and confirmed with IGN by Bethesda.
Speculation started to rise when BattleCry was mysteriously absent at Australia’s EB Expo this past weekend after originally planning to be on hand and playable.
Battlecry was set to be the first game from the newly established studio, Battlecry Studios. Fortunately, though, the developers over there are also working on other unannounced projects, so if Battlecry does end up being cancelled, the team has something to potentially fall back on. We haven’t heard much about the game, which was touted to feature 32 player battles and fast-paced third person gunfights, since new footage was showcased at E3 2015.
After a big reveal in May of the previous year, the multiplayer-focused title has remained primarily out of the spotlight.
BattleCry is expected sometime in 2016 exclusively for the PC.
