Bethesda “wants to bring” The Elder Scrolls
Oh yes, 2016’s Doom reboot is all set to get a sequel and FPS players couldn’t be any happier. Fallout 76 can be enjoyed solo, but according to Bethesda’s director Todd Howard this game will be played “entirely online”.
Todd Howard spent a relatively large amount of his conference time showing the game.
“Of course you can play this solo”. It’s an attempt to create a full “true” Elder Scrolls experience as a mobile game. Though with the game not slated for release until 2019, it’s going to be a long wait after that pre-order. “It’s a game we’ve been making for a while”, Howard said. So you might be playing one-handed on your mobile phone against someone else half way around the world who’s donning a VR headset.
Bethesda has used The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim as a test vehicle across multiple platforms, which has led to jokes and memes across the community. Doom Eternal doesn’t have a release date, but we’ll see the first gameplay on August 10th. At its heart, this mobile game is a true Elder Scrolls title. High Rock is home to the Adamantine Tower, which is said to be the oldest structure in existence, heralding the arrival of the Aldmer (aka, the First Folk that would then spread to become numerous other races we’ve come to know).
Starfield, the new sci-fi game from Bethesda Game Studios, is among the most hotly anticipated games to be revealed at E3.
Finally, “Dying Light 2” was revealed and showed the intriguing ecosystem of the game’s setting, all of which forks and bends on whatever action you take and give each playthrough a unique flavour.
Fallout 76 looks as if hopes to lure in new players to franchise with this sort of new fresh take on the game.
The game will also be bigger than any previous Fallout title, Bethesda said – four times the size of 2015’s Fallout 4. Additionally, the Sims-esque management game Fallout Shelter is now available on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. Prey is getting new DLC that is available now and another available in the future. Titled “Mooncrash”, the expansion is set on the moon where you play as a hacker named Peter. As fans gasped with glee prematurely, he continued, noting that the upcoming game was the first new IP from Bethesda in 25 years. Like the classic mod Prop Hunt, it’s up to the player to hunt down the mimics.
When talking about Starfield, Howard confirmed it would primarily focus on a traditional single-player experience.
