Beyonce a superhero? Marvel and Disney are interested in the superstar joining
Beyonce is reportedly being eyed for a superhero role in a Marvel blockbuster. Until Marvel makes it official, Beyonce‘s inclusion in “Avengers: Infinity War” Part 1 or Part 2 is unsubstantiated.
Speaking on the condition of anonymity, a senior Disney executive said,
“We would love to have Beyoncé on board, almost certainly as a newcomer to the screen from Marvel’s existing catalogue of comic book characters.”
Queen Bey could be about to become the fiercest superhero in the Marvel Universe.
According to the Daily Star producers believe the Run The World hitmaker could add millions to the Avengers franchise if she starred alongside Scarlett Johansson and Elizabeth Olsen. In fact, she had already won a Golden Globe for her performance in the 2006 drama, “Dreamgirls“.
She was in talks five years ago to resurrect TV hit Wonder Woman on the big screen but Gal Gadot got the role.
Anyway, yesterday, they ran the story that Beyonce was to appear in the next Avengers movie.
The roles bosses are said to be considering for Bey include that of, Boom-Boom, who is the alter-ego of Tabitha Smith, a secret agent with the ability to create lethal plasma bombs with her mind.
The Grammy victor has starred in a number of films throughout her career, including Cadillac Records, Austin Powers In Goldmember, The Pink Panther, The Fighting Temptations and Dreamgirls.
“What would be better than being a black Wonder Woman?”
It is worth mentioning here that Beyoncé and husband Jay Z recently shifted from New York to Holmby Hills in Los Angeles with a view to regenerate the singer’s acting career. Although the award-winning performer’s throng of followers would like to see Beyonce dip her toes in uncharted territory such as comic book adaptations, this is to be taken with a grain of salt.
