Beyonce and Prince to perform at Tidal concert
TIDAL, the artist-owned, high-fidelity streaming music platform, recently surpassed one million subscribers. Tidal is platinum. 1,000,000 people and counting.
Tidal and HTC are throwing a massive charity concert in Brooklyn this October, and its lineup is full of the site’s most popular and successful artist partners. “Let’s celebrate 10/20 Brooklyn”, tweeted Hova.
Ever since it was launched in March originally to rival Spotify, Tidal has never been a huge hit although it has offered several exclusive contents by Madonna, Rihanna, Beyonce Knowles and Prince.
It led Jay Z, aka Shawn Carter, to post a series of passionate tweets about the service in April. It also isn’t limited to TIDAL users, although if you are member you’ll get first dibs at purchasing tickets. We are here for the long haul.
In July 2015, it was claimed that Young Money CEO Birdman, real name Bryan Williams, was suing Tidal for m (£32m) after streaming Lil Wayne’s mixtape, although the status and progress of that lawsuit remains unknown.
It seems like those rumors about Jay Z giving up on TIDAL were grossly exaggerated.
