Beyonce introduces newborn twins Sir Carter and Rumi
It shows Beyoncé wearing a ruffled purple and pink billowing gown that has been draped across her shoulders in just a small blue pair of undies.
Beyonce has introduced her twins to the world.
The twins were born on June 18 but it took nearly a month before the world caught a glimpse of the baby Carters as they were reportedly treated for jaundice.
The photo shared the similar floral theme of her pregnancy announcement, with a background of flowers and veil on her head.
“We would like to share our love and happiness”, they wrote alongside the picture. “We have been blessed two times over”, the 35 year old captioned the shot. It would also mean that the baby’s full name would be “Rumi Carter” – Carter being the real last name of Jay-Z, who was born Shawn Corey Carter. The trademark documents are presumably to protect the twins’ names for future use on all things from fragrances to baby gear to bags and water bottles and cosmetic lines.
Bey also confirmed rumours that the babies have been given the unusual names Sir Carter and Rumi.
You have to love Beyoncé for sharing good news, in her own special way. “The Carters”, she wrote at the time. Congratulations! I’m so happy for you!
The photo has been posted to Instagram and already become iconic among friends and fans alike.
Jay-Z and Beyonce previously battled rumors of marital issues, including allegations of an affair and an explosive elevator conflict between the 47-year-old hip-hop star and his sister-in-law, Solange Knowles.
Rumi and Sir Carter are the world-famous couple’s second and third children together, as they are parents to Blue Ivy Carter, 5.
