Beyonce Joining Bradley Cooper in A Star Is Born Remake
According to the Post article (no doubt hoping to reassure fans), Beyonce “has been taking acting lessons” to prepare for the role. Apparently Cooper has yet to cast the rest of the film, but now he’s got Queen Bey, we’re guessing he won’t have much trouble finding actors to fill the roles around her. A source working on pre-production of the film divulged, “Beyoncé is a go”. This might mark Bradley Cooper‘s directorial debut, which wouldn’t begin filming until late 2016 or early 2017. In that time he plans to take on a few more acting roles before diving into his director duties. Not surprisingly, the Grammy victor joins the ranks of divas Judy Garland and Barbra Streisand-who starred in remakes of A Star Is Born in 1954 and 1976 respectively.
How does Jay Z feel about Beyoncé adding acting to an already full plate?
Highly talented and good-looking individuals Beyoncé and Bradley Cooper are all set to bring their respective talents and good looks together in the one, glorious movie project: a remake of A Star Is Born.
The film has always been a passion project of Warner Bros with Will Smith, Tom Cruise, Leonardo DiCaprio and Christian Bale all rumoured to be circling the film over the years but BCoop and Bey seem to be the winning combo.
“She wants to land leading roles in movies and has been taking classes in NY and L.A. for the past year”, an insider revealed in the new issue of Us Weekly.
News of the “Flawless” singer appearing in the film stems back to 2011 when her name was first mentioned.
