Beyonce to Be Awarded the Prestigious MTV Video Vanguard Award This August

Now it was time for the MTV officials to agree with the Beyonce fans, who already believed that the marvelous singer is a legend. It is something that this Queen Bey really deserves.

Just a day after the wrapping in the American portion of ‘On the Run’ tour got over with husband Jay Z, the 32-years old popular singer was nominated by the MTV to receive “MTV Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award” at the MTV Video Music Awards on August 24, 2014. However, she will be seen performing in the show also. The recognition is indeed an outstanding gain for the powerhouse singer, Beyonce.

Previous Award Winners

This prestigious Vanguard award from MTV was previously received by Madonna, Justin Timberlake, and Britney Spears. This time Beyonce and her Husband Jay Z, both have been nominated for the video, ‘Drunk in Love’. The other section where she has been nominated are, best collaboration, best cinematography, best female, best editing, best video with a social message, best choreography, and best direction.

Beyonce’s Mind-blowing Performances over Years

The lady also performed magnificently at Vanguard award over the years. Some of her notable performances include Ring the Alarm in 2006, Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It) of 2009s, and Love on Top of 2011. The couple is wrapping their ‘On the Run’ Tour, which in September will be aired at the HBO special September.
