Beyonce to perform at Super Bowl halftime show next month
Pepsi have confirmed that the Drunk in Love singer has just signed up to appear during the show as part of the British band’s 12-minute show.
A little more than a month after the world was set afire by the news that punk rock gods Coldplay would be the headlining act at Super Bowl 50, we’re received word of yet another performer at the event.
The musical heavyweights have worked together before, with Beyoncé lending her vocals to track Hymn for the Weekend on their new album A Head Full of Dreams.
Beyonce is close friends with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and his ex wife Gwyneth Paltrow and their performance is expected to be a huge hit.
He recently joked with late-night talk show host James Corden about what it’s like to work with the superstars. On the topic of returning guests, Bruno Mars will also be performing again, after first taking on the halftime stage two years ago.
Katy Perry, who performed at last year’s Super Bowl, had the most-watched halftime show in history with 118 million viewers.
Other stars that performed during the half time of Super Bowl in recent years include Madonna, The Black Eyed Peas and The Who.
The Super Bowl will air live on CBS on February 7.
