Biden: Clinton should talk with ‘some passion’ to fix trust problem

Biden revealed in the CNN interview that Clinton will have more of a role in the decision-making process than she let on, though.

Vice President Joe Biden told the press that he is “confident” in how Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton has handled reports about allegations of possible conflicts of interest regarding the Clinton Foundation during her time as secretary of state.

“What we know is women vote for candidates who are committed to supporting women and families and are advancing policies that are supporting women and families”, she says, adding that Clinton’s other policies such as debt-free college and free community college may help to bring the support of young women.

Yesterday the Democratic presidential candidate said she believes it is “appropriate” for her husband Bill to step down from the foundation if she’s elected, as he’s said he would. The Clinton Foundation has come under scrutiny for accusations that its donors were given access to Hillary Clinton’s State Department, as evidenced by emails showing favors and meetings being set up on behalf of high-dollar givers.

Trump says “Clinton lied about her handling of confidential information”. In one such statement delivered a year ago, she expressed her intense opposition to abortion restrictions, and her desire to get more funding for abortion giant Planned Parenthood, The Washington Examiner reports.

Trump is also expected to campaign at a fair in Youngstown, Ohio, in a nod to the state’s role as a make-or-break proving ground for Republican presidential candidates.

Hillary Clinton’s father also ran a small business.

Labor Day has traditionally been the kickoff to the fall campaign.

The campaign has not yet released the time and location of the event.

Democrats are sending their full bench to the campaign trail, with Biden and President Barack Obama working aggressively to keep the White House in their party’s hands.

Trump, the Republican nominee, is set to campaign in Virginia and North Carolina on Tuesday, two critical states in his path to the presidency. She responded, “I think we’re up to 89, but who’s counting?”

Clinton told reporters aboard her campaign plane en route to Florida that Trump’s views offer “yet another strong piece of evidence as to why he should never be anywhere near the White House”.

Pence will appear less than two months before Election Day.
