‘Big Brother 17’ Finale Recap: Who Is the victor?

The 22 year-old engineering student first seemed like he was a lock for an early exit from the Big Brother house. Austin was evicted following a shocking blindside from Head of Household Vanessa.

“Vanessa completely betrayed me”, Austin said after his BB17 elimination. To be honest I’m praying that “Big Brother 18” is finally that second all-stars season fans have been dying for since BB7. “She swore to me on her family, her girlfriend, the LGBT community and the Bible and she’ll have to deal with those consequences of making those pledges and going back on it”.

I choose Steve to win Big Brother 17 tonight, who do you choose to win? When it boiled down to it, Steve and Vanessa both had an equal shot at winning and being crowned the final HOH. So, it was time for Vanessa to make a deal – and she did. And true to his word in the diary room, Steve made the only move that made sense for his game: He betrayed Vanessa and sent her to be the final member of the jury, leaving Liz speechless. This is created by a belief in external control, which Nick states is higher in women than in men – which may be the reason why there have been more male winners than female winners of “Big Brother“. Steve narrowly defeated Vanessa 5-4 to put himself in the finals with the power to decide whom he faced, and – not surprisingly – that person was Liz.

So who won America’s Favorite Player on Big Brother tonight? Yes, the genius will do battle against the strategist in round three of the HOH competition. But Austin is so upset at Vanessa’s betrayal that he may bitterly convince his fellow Jury members to vote against her. Steve and Liz, meanwhile, may not have been as manipulative as Vanessa was, but they each won competitions and played solid social games. She was only able to garner votes from her boyfriend Austin Matelson, her twin sister Julia Rolan and her closest alliance partner Vanessa. “But Steve played his own game in a way we’ve never seen before”. Liz tells the Jury she came in as a newbie, and that she loves the game now. Julie Chen then revealed highlights from the first two parts of the final Head of Household competition.
