Big Brother’s Jayne Connery taken to hospital after being injured during task
Connery appeared to lose consciousness during a game in the swimming pool, where she was trying to balance on a floating bridge while housemates threw sponges at her.
The 49-year-old was injured in what was called a “bridge buidling” task as housemates attempted to knock Jayne off a bridge by throwing water balloons and wet sponges at her.
Jayne was soon removed from the house and take to hospital to be properly checked over.
Big Brother issued a statement at the time, saying: “The housemates” health and welfare is of paramount importance.
But thankfully Jayne was okay and was able to return to the house later that day telling Big Brother that she felt fine.
“Big Brother puts into place appropriate medical arrangements as required”.
In tonight’s live show, lines were frozen half-way through the highlights before host Emma Willis spoke to the house.
Do you think Jayne’s accident was all that it seemed?
Five hours after the accident, she was back in the house, explaining in the Diary Room: “I’m feeling good now, Big Brother”.
And when the housemates receive letters from home, Jayne even asks Jackson to read hers out.
Meanwhile, Jayne was relieved to be saved from eviction on Wednesday’s episode after Sam Giffen opted to save her.
She announced, in no particular order, that Andy and Jackson had received the fewest votes at that point and were therefore safe. I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry Andy.
Big Brother continues tonight on Channel 5 at 10pm. Get Me Out Of Here in 2010, when the prospect of taking part in another gruelling bushtucker trial caused her to collapse to the floor.
