Big second-half swing leads Jets past Redskins 34-20

The 1,000 yard mark in a season is typically used as the threshold defining top receivers.

The New York Jets host the Washington Redskins in one of the most anticipated NFL Games on Sunday, start time at 1:00 PM ET, at MetLife Stadium, E. Rutherford, N.J.

The Redskins almost pulled off an impressive upset over the Falcons in Week 5 but they’re banged up heading into today’s game.

Star defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson said he did “all right” in his 2015 debut Sunday after sitting out the first four games because of an NFL-imposed suspension. But he isn’t the one who decides on playtime for the backs. The provocation? Gilbride was calling too many pass plays and ensuing turnovers were putting Buddy’s pet defense in perilous situations.

“He’s a great competitor, and he’s good for our football team”, Gruden said of Breeland.

-QB Kirk Cousins had an uneven performance as he was 25-for-43 with 196 yards.

Tress Way was able to pin the Jets inside the 10 with 30 seconds to go in the first quarter. We threw an interception, couldn’t get off the field on third down, couldn’t get a stop here and there.
