Big Ten: Officials Made Correct Call On Controversial Final Touchdown During
“I got an explanation”. That’s what we’re going to try to figure out. We are going to be OK. Cue heartbreak. It took Nebraska four plays culminating in a controversial touchdown by Brandon Reilly with 17 second left to give Nebraska the 39-38 win and cover, delivering a crushing blow to the Spartans’ postseason chances as well as their backers Saturday. “That’s my mind-set”.
“I put a few shirts on a hanger and put them in my closet that had just been cleaned”, he said. I guess the one thing for me is I’m a huge MI State fan.
Auburn 26, No. 25 Texas A&M 10: COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Auburn (5-4) intercepted three passes in a victory over Texas A&M (6-3). However, if Ohio State loses to MI State and MI, who both lose to Penn State, we’ll have a four-way tie among two-loss teams. It has flirted with disaster against OR, Purdue, Rutgers, IN and (most notably) MI but managed to survive with no losses. Expect a sloppy game from the Cornhuskers and for the Spartans to eventually roll.
The Spartans are still in control of their Big Ten East fate, and Dantonio said when he talked to the players on Sunday he reminded them, among other things, of the crushing 2011 Big Ten title game loss to Wisconsin – followed the next day by the team banquet.
“I can tell you that our offense will take responsibility, the coaches will take responsibility, the defense will take responsibility, every individual player will so there’s plenty to go around”.
It’s a doozy, though, and not just because of the way MSU lost.
In all reality, whether the Spartans won or lost in Lincoln, a Week 12 win in Columbus was the key in order for the Spartans to make the four-team cut. His return should help a ground game that struggled in wins at MI and against Indiana.
And if fans feel like the season is over after one loss, Dantonio said he can’t worry about that.
Saturday’s game ends a tumultuous week for Nebraska.
Dantonio’s program usually comes out ahead in wild finishes. The Buckeyes are the only ranked team remaining on MSU’s schedule. The Spartans are 35-2 in such games. Nebraska’s defense has shown the ability to play well, but most of the season they have been non-existent when it has counted.
Last week the Atlantic Coast Conference suspended officials for several mistakes they made in ruling on the eight-lateral play that resulted in Miamis winning touchdown against Duke.
Mostly, it was out of character. The Huskers went back into the red zone and on a second and goal Riley Bullough intercepted Armstrong and got Sparty the ball back as Cook would find Jamal Lyles from 16 yards out as he had his fourth touchdown of the game while it was still in the third quarter.
