Bilic gushes over new West Ham signing Lanzini
Nicknamed “La Joya” which means ‘The Jewel, ‘ the former River Plate man has a contract with Al Jazira until 2018.
He becomes the Hammers’ seventh summer recruit, following the arrivals of Darren Randolph, Dimitri Payet, Pedro Obiang, Stephen Hendrie, Angelo Ogbonna and Carl Jenkinson.
West Ham United have completed the signing of Manuel Lanzini on a season-long loan deal, while they also have an option to keep the player should he impress at Upton Park.
“It is a very important step for my career and for my future”.
Perceived wisdom is that South Americans can take time to settle in England and the Premier League, but Bilic does not believe Lanzini represents a risk in that respect.
Last season for Zenit, the Venezuela worldwide scored 20 goals in 44 matches and he has netted wherever he has been, with 27 goals for Malaga, 25 for Rubin Kazan and 12 for UD Las Palmas.
“He’s not very strong, but he rides the challenges and doesn’t go down – so I hope he could be big for us”.
“I am looking forward to what is a new era for me”.
Slaven Bilic, the West Ham United manager, has backed Manuel Lanzini to make a considerable impact this season.
Now, at the age of 22, he describes himself as someone who “always gives 100 percent”, claiming he can “change the game’s tempo” as an attacking midfielder.
