Bill Belichick disappointed over Eagles’ firing of Chip Kelly

I don’t think there is any shortcut to it. I know there is a lot of other people in the league that think there is, there’s instant; in two weeks everything is going to change. But Lurie – the Philadelphia Eagles owner – and Johnson – the third-year right tackle – also shed some light on why Kelly was sacked Tuesday, before completing his third season as head coach. “I know a lot of teams are probably hanging their tongues out for him now”. “I have a lot of respect for them”. “Life is all about responding to challenges and seizing opportunities”.

Most of the former Eagles haven’t done much, and I think the question for Kelly is who he opted to go to in many cases. “That decision was made before Chip met with myself and (team president) Don Smolenski”.

The last time the Eagles had an opening, they called Brian Kelly. When he was the head coach of the Eagles, he never had anything bad to say about his players, despite former players talking about how much they didn’t like Kelly. I think all good coaches have tremendous attention to detail in this league.

Lurie doesn’t plan to hire a GM. Of course a new head coach is at the top of the list. No point in going to detail as it has been several days since they loss.

With only one game left in the regular season, the decision to fire Chip Kelly came at a surprising time to some fans.
