Bill Cosby lawsuit: lawyer for accuser to give update on Cosby deposition
A 25-year-old model has filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles against disgraced American comedian Bill Cosby, alleging he sexually assaulted her at the Playboy Mansion in 2008. Huth will be interviewed later this month.
Everything about the deposition is a secret.
Shortly after, she said, she told the club owner’s wife and quit. Though the statute of limitations also has passed on Huth’s allegations, because she was a minor when she claims to have been assaulted, she still is able to file her case.
That deposition will be sealed until at least December 22, as ordered by a California judge.
Huth’s attorney, Gloria Allred, denied the claim, saying more than a dozen women had already come forward anonymously in connection with a 2005 lawsuit against the comedian.
Jewel Allison said: “I was sexually assaulted and drugged”. Numerous women felt that Cosby’s starpower would triumph over their accusations and one woman even chose to blame herself before blaming the actor.
Cosby’s attorney has denied the allegations. He approached the teenagers, invited them to sit in his director’s chair and asked how old they were, the lawsuit said.
A judge in Los Angeles ruled that Cosby must be interviewed under oath.
The third alleged victim Traitz explained that Cosby drugged and groped her in the same time frame as the other girls.
She says that she realized when she got home that her panties were missing and she never found them.
Statutes of limitations prevent most of Cosby’s accusers from attempting to file criminal charges or civil claims against him for incidents that allegedly occurred long ago. Now, Huth is suing Cosby; the entertainer is scheduled to submit to a deposition in that case October. 9.
Cosby’s attorneys contend that Huth once tried to sell her story to the National Enquirer and that it is “absolutely false”.
The school says university trustees voted unanimously October. 2 to revoke the honorary doctorate of humane letters it granted Cosby in 2004.
Also on Friday, federal courtroom Judge Mark Mastroianni in Massachusetts refused to dismiss a defamation lawsuit filed by three ladies towards Cosby.
The Los Angeles Police Department has completed its investigation into allegations that Cosby, 78, assaulted Chloe Goins and turned the results of that investigation over to the district attorney October 1.
