Bill Cosby statue removed at Disney’s Hollywood Studios after sedatives-before-s
Walt Disney World has summarily removed a bronze statue depicting embattled comedian and admitted Quaalude procurer Bill Cosby from its Florida theme park.
The removal of Cosby’s likeness from Disney’s Hollywood Studios, part of the Walt Disney World resort, followed a petition on the Change.org website that said the replica was “inappropriate”.
This excerpt from a 2005 deposition given by entertainer Bill Cosby, and released Monday, July 6, 2015, by the US District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, shows Cosby admitting that he obtained quaaludes with the intent of giving them to young women he wanted to have sex with.
Cosby’s statements might also be of interest to women now suing him for sexual assault and defamation, she said.
Cosby, 77, has not been criminally charged and his attorneys have consistently denied the allegations. On Tuesday, BET and Bounce TV announced they would pull “Cosby Show” reruns from the air. “He gave me my first job”, Raven-Symone, 29, said.
She said that while she has remained silent, “Cosby himself has given a rather incoherent interview and used members of his family and others as surrogates to speak for him”.
Before that, Cosby was well known as a standup comedian and as one of the few black actors at the time to land lead roles, including in the hit secret-agent TV series “I Spy”.
As stated by documents newly unsealed, thanks to an investigation by the Associated Press, Cosby admitted he asked for seven prescriptions of the sedative.
The case was settled for an undisclosed amount in 2006.
“Sadly his own testimony offers PROOF of bad deeds, which is ALL I have ever required to believe the accusations”, she tweeted.
The judge, who unsealed the documents in which Cosby admitted to drugging at least one woman before sex, pointed to the comedian’s public moralizing as a reason for doing so.
“I see that a lot of them are relieved and feel vindicated”, Johnson said of Cosby’s accusers.
Scott said she was “completely disgusted” by the revelations.
