Bill Murray To Appear In Paul Feig’s Ghostbusters
ComingSoon.net has gotten ahold of some photos that show Bill Murray arriving in Boston on August 6th, and then reportedly heading to the set of the Ghostbusters reboot to shoot a cameo on August 7th.
In the original Ghostbusters films, Murray portrayed the character Dr. Peter Venkman. They even want to be in the movie with this new team.
Here’s Aykroyd talking about the new film below, plus the magnetic star power of his friend Bill Murray. Well Murray of course.
Even though Feig has said that his upcoming “Ghostbusters” won’t connect to the original series or won’t even reference it-it fact it’s starting over and pretending those films don’t exist, the original “Ghostbusters” will cameo.
When Ramis – who played Egon and created the franchise along with Aykrod – suddenly died in February last year, it appeared to finally put the idea of a third Ghostbusters film to rest. Now however, the actor will not be the focus of the film and will potentially have a chance to just have fun without the pressures of living up to the original. The Ghostbusters (Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones) were on hand as well, suggesting that the musical event will have a supernatural infestation of some sort. A strong supporting cast has been added to the mix too, with Chris Hemsworth as the Ghostbuster secretary along with Michael Kenneth Williams, Cecily Strong, Andy Garcia, Matt Walsh and Neil Casey.
And Murray approves of Aykroyd’s vision of an all-female cast.
