Bills’ McCoy suffers left leg injury during practice
A person familiar with the situation tells The Associated Press that Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy will be ready to play in the team’s regular-season opener after he hurt his left hamstring in practice.
McCoy suffered the injury during the second of two joint workouts the Bills had with the Cleveland Browns at the Bills’ training camp at St. John Fisher College.
The Bills head to Cleveland for a primetime contest with the Browns on Thursday night.
The team’s top tailback, LeSean McCoy, went down in practice on Tuesday with a hamstring injury, ESPN noted. McCoy was holding his hamstring on the way into the locker room. The former Philadelphia Eagle was at the center of one of the bigger offseason trades, and given the quarterback concerns the organization has heading into the 2015 season, McCoy’s importance can not be overstated. Seale had just signed with Buffalo earlier in the day after Karlos Williams was taken to a hospital and had an undisclosed medical procedure on Monday. Not only does it make Buffalo a forgotten team, but it sets the team back with regards to being successful.
“I was with Ray in Baltimore [and] I really liked him when I was there”, Ryan said.
He spent his first six seasons in Seattle, after the Seahawks selected him in the fourth round of the 2008 draft.
The Buffalo Bills are rumored to be looking into signing Ray Rice in an effort to help their injury-ridden backfield. Ryan said it was because Woods “felt tight” in his leg, presumably because of the extended work he has had because of other injuries at the position. He was unable to bend his left leg. The Bills were also without Percy Harvin due to a hip injury, to which Rex Ryan admitted that was worse than they initially thought.
