Adam Sandler and Selena Gomez’s “Hotel Transylvania 2” co-star Kevin James, 50, was among those who attended the surprise wedding of Billy Joel, 66, and Alexis Roderick, 33, at their yearly Fourth of July party. In 2010 Alexis told the New York Daily News that they “were friends for a while before we started dating”. The bride and groom are expecting their first child.

The intimate ceremony was presided over by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, who is a longtime friend of Joel’s.

Guests had thought that it was simply an annual Fourth of July get-together, but it turned out to be their surprise wedding. He previously married Elizabeth Weber in 1973 before calling it quits in 1982.

The 66-year-old musician tied the knot with Alexis Roderick on Saturday evening, his representative has confirmed. In April, Joel and Roderick announced they were expecting., and reports say that the baby is a girl.

Christine – who was married to Billy from 1985 to 1994 – was also present for the ceremony and later gushed about her ex-husband’s attractive bride. “Wishing the growing family every happiness!”

He has been with ex- Morgan Stanley risk officer Roderick since 2009, the media said. Ten years later, in 2004, Joel once again found love and married Katie Lee.

New Yorker Billy Joel will go on to perform a sold-out Fenway Park gig on July 16.
