Billy Joel Weds Girlfriend During July 4 Party at New York Estate

Offering her support and love was Alexa Ray’s mother and Joel’s second wife, Christie Brinkley.

As you may or may not know, everyone’s dad’s favorite drunken ivory tickler Billy Joel faked out the paparazzi he imagines still follow him around over the weekend by surprise-marrying his pregnant girlfriend Alexis Roderick at his Fourth of July party, which was held on his swanky Long Island estate.

Joel’s daughter, Alexa Ray, 29, was at the intimate gathering. “Wishing the growing family every happiness!”, Brinkley wrote.

Brinkley, who was married to Joel from 1985 to 1994, offered her congratulations to the newlyweds on Instagram.

Christie’s daughter is just four years younger than Joel’s new wife, a ex- Morgan Stanley executive. She took to Instagram to congratulate her ex-husband on his new marriage. It was a happy and loving event and her Instagram reflected that sentiment.’.

Billy’s daughter Alexa Ray was there to see the couple tie the knot, as was the actor Kevin James and New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, who presided over the wedding.

Guests had thought that it was simple an annual Fourth of July get-together, but it turned out to be their surprise wedding.

Billy Joel, 66, and Roderick, 33, are expecting a baby girl later this summer. He married for a third time to Katie Lee in 2004, but got divorced in 2010.
