Bindi Irwin Leads ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Again
The theme of last night’s episode was hometown pride, and Bindi selected the song by the legendary Australian rockers in honor of her father, Steve Irwin, a big fan of AC/DC who was tragically killed by a stingray while filming footage for a wildlife show in 2006.
When Dancing With The Stars Season 21 spoilers confirmed that 17 year old Bindi Irwin had joined the cast of the ABC dancing competition, she was already chosen as a front runner – and the Australian native did not disappoint during the season premiere.
The 17-year-old spoke about how that song reminded her of her late father, Steve Irwin.
‘I remember when I was really little, dancing to that song with dad. It means everything to me, ‘ she said.
She also managed to score an impressive 25 out of 30 from the judges, putting her on top of the leaderboard.
“That’s what my Mum and Dad would especially listen to”, she said on the United States show. Bindi Irwin is not that type of woman – and we love her for it!
‘Super excited for tonight’s rocking show with @dancingabc!’ she wrote, accompanied with a photograph of herself holding up some dancing shoes. Thank you for all of your support, I’m grateful every day, ‘ the brunette continued.
