Bindi Irwin’s Tearful Tribute To Her Dad On “Dancing With The Stars”
Carrie Ann Inaba praised Bindi for making every dance a “moment of her life”. Steve died when his daughter was very young and paved the way for her to grow up loving animals and nature. “Do you mind if we keep you?” The Australia Zoo even made a cute video of children doing the Whip/Nae Nae dance and then shouting, “Good luck, Bindi”.
When we caught up with Steve again months after the premiere, he echoed Bindi’s wish to be like him.
As a contestant on the current season of Dancing With the Stars United States, Bindi Irwin has quickly cemented herself as one of the frontrunners to win the show.
“This dance is for my dad, and for my family, and for everyone back at home, but for my dad”, Bindi said through tears.
Taking about the devastating time in a pre-recorded segment which focused on the most pivotal years of the stars” lives, she prepared to bare her soul as she told the cameras, “I think I’m ready to tell that story’. The zoo is now owned by Bindi’s mom, Terri, and features many “amazing creatures” such as koalas, tortoises and lemurs.
Bindi danced to a mournful rendition of The Police’s classic hit “Every Breath You Take“, and the performance netted her the first ideal score of ten for the season.
“He is my super hero and he always will be”, she told ET during a dance rehearsal with pro partner Derek Hough.
