Bindi Irwin shares last photo with dad Steve Irwin

Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough walked away with a hard-earned victory on the Season 21 finale of Dancing With the Stars, and the two couldn’t have been more excited for their shiny new Mirror Ball trophy.

It shouldn’t really come as a surprise to fans of the show, who may have noticed Derek’s waning interest in the show, said that Bindi really made this season feel special to him. Bindi, daughter of late “The Crocodile Hunter” star Steve Irwin, is on a media blitz after her big win in last night’s finale.

With this latest win, Derek Hough has now won 6 mirror ball trophies with partners Brooke Burke, Nicole Scherzinger, Jennifer Grey, Kellie Pickler, Amber Riley, and now Bindi Irwin. “I can’t believe it!” “I’m still trying to improve as much as I can and I’m looking forward to hanging out with all the great people I’ve met on the show on tour”, Skarlatos told USA Today.

Irwin took to Instagram after her win, and summed up her experience on the competition.

The pair competed against Backstreet Boy Nick Carter and his partner, Sharna Burgess, and a soldier, Alek Skarlatos, and his partner, Lindsay Arnold.

“Thank you so much for everything”.

She added: “The only way I’d ever be able to describe it is to say it has been a gift”.

We all know that if her father was still with her, he would be so proud of the lovely woman – and attractive dancer – that Bindi has grown into.

Six time victor of “Dancing With The Stars” Derek Hough has declared his intention to retire from the dance reality show. “The day before I had to wave goodbye to my hero, without knowing it would be the last time”, she writes.

Twitter lit up with reaction to the touching moment, and Irwin even posted her family’s final photo with her dad before his death.
