Bismah guides Pakistan to 29-run win over Bangladesh
She also picked up the player-of-the-match award for her unbeaten innings.
Khatun said her team were focused on cricket.
Pakistan women cricket team defeated Bangladesh by 29 runs in their first T20 match in Karachi, Samaa reported Wednesday.
Pakistan and Bangladesh teams are scheduled to play two T20s (Sept. 30 and October 1) and two One-day Internationals (Oct 4 and October 6) at the Southend Club ground.
“It’s only like our house and we’re totally ready to play against Pakistan, which will be an extremely powerful team”. Pakistan’s global isolation was overcome earlier this year when Zimbabwe toured for a short limited-over series.
Bismah’s knock had propelled Pakistan to a total of 124 after Sana Mir won the toss and elected to bat in the historic match which ended a nine-year drought for women’s worldwide cricket in the country.
Khatun said that the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) had thrown the ball into their court and wanted them to make their own decision.
Pakistan: Sana Mir, Bismah Maroof, Nain Abidi, Nida Rashid, Rabia Shah (wicket-keeper) Asmavia Iqbal, Javeria Wadood, Sania Iqbal, Marina Iqbal, Samia Siddiqui, Sidra Amin, Erum Javed, Diana Baig, Aalia Riaz, Anum Amin and Ayesha Zafar.
From Bangladesh side, Ayasha Rahman and Fargana Hoque contributed 46 runs, scoring 23 each.
