BJP president Amit Shah attacks Rahul Gandhi over JNU row

He wondered if this was the definition of patriotism for him and accused him of showing insensitivity to the country’s integrity by projecting “treason as student revolution” and action against this treason as suppression of the freedom of expression.

Another BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi said efforts to give “ideological cover” to violence and anti-India activities can not be allowed.

“They are putting RSS VCs (Vice Chancellors) in every University and College, they are trying to suppress the voice of the students”, the Congress vice president told reporters in Sivasagar in Assam.
