Black Friday and beyond: The ultimate holiday shopping guide
Like Target, Walmart is starting its in-store Black Friday sale at 6 p.m. Thanksgiving Day.
In MA, most stores that have advertised Thanksgiving Day openings will open at midnight. In addition to all of this, there will be many more deals available for the customers at the Walmart Store, the official website of Walmart and mobile app as well. Door-buster deals have always been quite effective in getting shoppers into stores, and many, of course, pick up other things besides those with the insane price tags. Target’s chief stores officer Tina Tyler said 6 p.m. feels like the right for customers and employees.
Are you excited for Walmart’s Black Friday deals?
Macy’s stores will also open at 6 p.m., also the same time stores opened previous year. The retailer’s Black Friday advert is available online now, and I’ve pulled out a few of the most appealing options below. Gamers who want to shop on Walmart, but do not want the hassle to go to the retail store, can get the same deals through online shopping.
As the actual deals are not completely revealed, it appears that Walmart is stocking up their supplies before finally releasing the offers to the public.
With Black Friday just about a couple weeks away, Walmart has promised to launch all of its holiday sales online, as it hopes to reach a wider range of consumers than it had in the past. “However, with so many stores open on Thanksgiving, promotions starting earlier and running longer, and other factors, retailers are seeing an overall erosion in Black Friday sales”, said the consultancy in a research report.
The National Retail Federation is predicting industry sales will rise 3.7 percent in November and December, a slow down from past year.
It is a risky approach to take at a time when many retailers are complaining that slower than expected fall sales have left them with unsold merchandise heading into the holiday season. Shoppers can also look at store maps to see where black Friday deals are situated and skim items in stores for reviews and an option to include the product to the shopping list. Sears’ Black Friday ads also leaked recently, but their doorbusters focused on appliances instead of electronics. And it said it expects profit to fall as much as 12 percent for next fiscal year as spending on e-commerce operations and higher wages squeeze the bottom line.
