‘Black Panther’ Teaser Receives Standing Ovation at Comic-Con
Now, the new poster which was unveiled at the ongoing Comic-Con in U.S., sees the masked king and protector watching over his kingdom from atop a large monument of a panther.
A new poster for Marvel Studios’ BLACK PANTHER was revealed on Saturday during a panel in Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con. The crowd was shown a scene featuring a meeting between Klaue (Andy Serkis) and Everett K. Ross (Martin Freeman), in which the latter offers diamonds in exchange for Vibranium, that “quickly spirals into an elaborate and stylish fight scene involving Black Panther, Nakia and Okoye”.
Letitia Wright’s Shuri is the Q of this crew, who develops new technology, weapons, and is generally, as the actress puts it, “Just a strong black woman!”
The Black Panther-centric story will focus on who he is, his relationships, and Wakanda. High-tech guns, explosions, and crashes fill the screen as T’Challa jumps from auto to vehicle, and Okoye throws her spear into the ground, and a auto crashes into it, nearly splitting in two. He is eventually challenged to a fight by Michael B. Jordan’s Erik Killmonger, who sports his own golden Black Panther suit. When it comes to the clip, chances are we won’t see that for some time. He calls it “wild”. Lupita Nyong’o is part of the forces; she plays Nakia, a special agent who lives outside of Wakanda. Ulysses returns after making his MCU debut in Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Winston Duke is M’Baku, the beloved leader of a Wakanda tribe. He’s got loyalty to his people, which drives his rage. It’s gonna be exclusive, at least for a while. The footage changes into more of a trailer. “It was fantastic, but overwhelming”. Klaue then reaches for his prosthetic arm, which is revealed to extend into a glowing blue cannon-laser gun hybrid. Black Panther goes from regular clothes to his costume with a push of a button. It seems to just activate and form around him not unlike Tony Stark’s Iron Man armor. Now he wears a plastic prosthetic, and he’s there to meet the Central Intelligence Agency agent Everett K. Ross (Martin Freeman). At one point, he’s riding a purple sports vehicle that’s remotely driven by his sister as he’s chasing Klaue. Serkis begins shooting at Boseman, while Nyong’o opens fire as well.
The film is scheduled to be released on February 16, 2018.
