BLACK PANTHER, VISION, ANT-MAN & More Coming to DISNEY INFINITY 3.0
We already know the Marvel Battlegrounds play set is coming later this month, but the Disney Infinity Next broadcast outlined what we’ll be seeing after that.
It doesn’t take much thinking to conclude that he’s referring to a pair of upcoming Disney films: “Finding Dory” and “Alice Through the Looking Glass”. According to Polygon, last year’s Disney Infinity 3.0 will remain on shelves through the rest of this year.
Prior to this year, Disney has released a new version of its open-world game annually since Disney Infinity’s debut in 2013.
Disney Infinity is taking a new approach for its fourth year on store shelves.
More Marvel goodness is coming to Disney Infinity this year, as the game will bring more of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s faces to life in video game form. As you’d expect, Baloo is the flawless addition to Disney Infinity 3.0 as he oozes with personality and positive vibes, although he’ll give enemies a good thwacking with his large palm tree, various fruit, and different parts of his body. Some of those updates will be small, such as new characters you can purchase for the game, like the two new figures from the upcoming animated film Zootopia. Much like the Nintendo Direct series, it’s an online, direct-to-the-fans way of sharing news about Disney Infinity.
VP of Production John Vignocchi and SVP and GM John Blackburn hosted Disney Infinity Next, leading it off by announcing that Disney Infinity 3.0 would receive one new Play Set from each of the game’s four core brands in 2016: Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars. It will include Captain America (from The First Avenger), Black Panther, The Vision and Ant-Man.
