Black Sabbath suspend tour dates
Courtesy of Black SabbathBlack Sabbath has postponed two Canadian concerts on their recently launched The End farewell tour because Ozzy Osbourne has been stricken with “extreme sinusitis”.
The Edmonton show was scheduled for Saturday (January 30) and Calgary for Monday (February 1).
Yet no final date has been set for Birmingham and the only gig they have announced in the United Kingdom is headlining Download Festival in June.
The next scheduled date on Black Sabbath’s 6-week North American tour is scheduled for February 3 at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, BC. The band has assured fans that the dates will be rescheduled for later this year.
“Due to extreme sinusitis with Ozzy Osbourne the shows in both Edmonton and Calgary have been postponed”. In place of Ward, Rage Against the Machine drummer Brad Wilk laid down drums on the band’s 2013 album 13, and Tommy Clufetos has played drums on Black Sabbath tours.
Confusion over whether the band would release a final record arose after Osbourne had stated that the band would record “one more album” with producer Rick Rubin before later denying it.
“This is it for Black Sabbath”.
