Black Sabbath to play ‘The End’ at Usana Amphitheatre, September 11
Black Sabbath – comprised of lead guitarist Tony Ionni, bassist Geezer Butler, and lead singer Ozzy Osbourne – started in 1969, taking the name from a 1963 Mario Bava horror movie. If you believe the press release sent out by Live Nation, it will be the the last show the band ever plays.
Black Sabbath’s farewell tour, “The End”, begins on January 20, 2016.
That Oakland date is in addition to Black Sabbath’s previously announced show on February 9 at the SAP Center in San Jose.
Tickets go on sale, aptly, on October 31, Halloween, at 10 a.m.at Ticketmaster.
The tour is expected to be the final round of concerts from the long-running group.
When the tour was first announced, the band confirmed six Canadian stops: Saskatoon, Edmonton, Calgary, Vancouver, Hamilton and Montreal.
Long-time heavy metal band Black Sabbath has cancelled its concert in Saskatoon, replacing it with a show in Winnipeg.
