BlackBerry Motion leaks, headed to Verizon, AT&T, and Sprint
BlackBerry is reportedly working on an all-touchscreen smartphone known as Krypton.
BlackBerry Motion, a new full touchscreen smartphone from the company, has been leaked online. The smartphone comes with aluminum frame and soft-grip textured back. It is expected to arrive preinstalled with Android 7.0 Nougat OS.
Nevertheless, the phone will promise a battery life of 26 hours and the same reliable secure software that BlackBerry is known for. That means the handset will not sport any QWERTY keyboard, which was the biggest trademark of the BlackBerry handsets. Locker Mode allows customers to capture images and directly save those photos to the internal storage area, so they are not automatically saved to a cloud. One might be a Convenience key, a physical switch (and holdover from the BlackBerry KeyOne) that can be programmed to an app, setting, or routine. It now features four new customizable profiles for Home, Car, Office, and User. Below the large display is the physical Home button that may be embedded with a fingerprint sensor. However, some rumors are claiming that the device will come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset which is quite low. The device is also said to be IP67-water and dust-resistant so you don’t have to worry about some water or particles getting inside your phone. There is a 12MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. The 3.5mm headphone jack can also be seen quite clearly, so you will not have to carry around an adapter just to listen to music.
BlackBerry is focusing nowadays in Middle Eastern markets, especially in United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, and BlackBerry Motion was unveiled in Dubai, UAE.
It’s also moderately priced-at least unlike comparatively wallet-busting monstrosities such as the $1,000 iPhone X-at $460 equivalent.
