Blackhawks F Panarin to return to lineup against Ducks
At 4:12 we had some 4 on 4 hockey as Panarin and Corey Perry were sent to the box on interference and slashing calls, respectively, and seconds later the Ducks managed to put the puck past a sprawling Corey Crawford to tie the score at one apiece.
Anaheim was on its way to victory Thursday against Columbus, leading 2-0 late in the second period, but allowed a goal with five seconds to go in that period and blew another two-goal lead in the third of its 4-3 shootout loss. The Ducks heavy physical game made its presence felt as the period approached the halfway mark and the goalies continued to shine turning away a combined 31 shots on goal and keeping the game scoreless. “I thought they were pretty close all night and it cost them in overtime”.

Panarin participated in Chicago’s optional morning skate, and coach Joel Quenneville says the rookie will be in the lineup against the Ducks. It was the 800th win in franchise history for the Ducks…. Hampus Lindholm was sent off early after a hook, giving the Hawks their first power play of the game. He replaced D Erik Gustafsson, who was a healthy scratch for the first time since January 15….
