Blackmon arrested, career over
Suspended Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Justin Blackmon was arrested over the weekend on a DUI charge in Carter County, Okla.
He hasn’t played in the league since 2013, when the NFL suspended him indefinitely.
This is far from his first DUI and he’s also been busted for marijuana-related offenses in the past.
Unfortunately for all parties involved, Blackmon hasn’t been able to stay on the field with the Jaguars.
Justin Blackmon admitted to having “2 drinks” at a local bar before getting behind the wheel of a 2015 Jeep Wrangler… but appeared WASTED… this according to the police report obtained by TMZ Sports.
His only charge listed was DUI.
Blackmon, who hasn’t played since October of 2013, remains under contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars, but it seems increasingly unlikely that he’ll play for the team again. Blackmon, still just 25, is four years removed from winning his second consecutive Biletnikoff Award as the best receiver in college football, and was a rare two-time unanimous All-American selection at Oklahoma State. It is only a matter of time until he gets behind the wheel of a auto intoxicated again and either severely hurts himself or someone else.
