Blaine Gabbert sacked 9 times as 49ers lose in Cleveland

The Brown’s responded to the blocked field goal with a run-heavy drive that began and ended with the legs of Isiah Crowell, as the half back would plunge one-yard into the end zone for Cleveland’s third rushing touchdown of the year. After throwing a first-half interception – and banging a tablet on his head – Manziel shook off the rust a two-game absence.

Cleveland humbled a team that should have been ego-free, thumping the 49ers 24-10 and racking up huge yardage totals along the way. We weren’t going to try to do too much, but we were going to try and do what was asked of us.

Considering Cleveland continues to get linked to other big quarterback trades, it will not be a surprise if they try and move past Manziel this offseason. I feel like I’m just getting started.

The quarterback got the start in Week 14 and did everything he could to make the most of it. The end result was the Browns beating the San Francisco 49ers and Manziel likely getting the starting nod for the remainder of the season.

The Browns caught a break when Brian Hartline recovered his fumble at the 1-yard line after a 10-yard catch.

The interception, which landed in the arms of Niners safety Jaquiski Tartt, was one of Manziel’s few blatant gaffes on a day that saw him guide the Browns to their first win since Week 5. The Browns, who had no idea how to run the ball to this point of the season rushed for 230 yards.

The 49ers are now 4-9, 1-6 on the road. This team has receivers that cannot separate, an offensive line that cannot block, a pass rush that cannot reach the quarterback and a front-seven that cannot stop the run.

-RB Glenn Winston left the game with a concussion and did not return.

In addition to Pryor being active, three wide receivers are inactive including Taylor Gabriel, Andrew Hawkins and Dwayne Bowe. 49ers QB Blaine Gabbert was sacked a whopping nine times by a Browns defense with all of 17 sacks this season prior to Sunday. Browns WR Terrelle Pryor was active for the first time but was not targeted.
