Blake Shelton Sues “In Touch” Magazine over Rehab Cover
Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert ended their four year marriage just three months ago, so we’re guessing the wounds are still a little fresh.
The suit says that contrary to the In Touch article’s assertion, Shelton has no plans of going into a rehabilitation program and that In Touch never contacted the singer’s representatives for his side of the story before making the allegation. Different music icons will grace the event such as Luke Bryan, Kacey Musgraves, Sam Hunt, Carrie Underwood, Kelsea Ballerini, Jason Aldean, Maddie & Tae, Brad Paisley and yes, Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton.
This isn’t the first time the magazine has reported rumors about Shelton.
“To be clear: Mr. Shelton has not hit rock bottom”, the lawsuit states.
The suit also argues the publication has printed erroneous claims about Shelton repeatedly in the past, including alleged drinking problems and infidelity, which it has cited on separate occasions as contributing factors to Shelton’s recent divorce. Back in September, they said Shelton cheated on Lambert.
The lawsuit says Shelton has sought a retraction of the central story in question, but has received no response. The complaint also states that the singer did not start drinking when he was 14 after his brother’s death. LLP, alleging defamation and false light invasion of privacy. Shelton contends that Groves was a friend, with whom he “did not have a sexual relationship or affair of any nature, whatsoever”.
