‘Blame Chance’: Kanye West Explains ‘Life of Pablo’ Album Delay
After numerous album title changes and delays, Kanye West finally releases his seventh solo studio album The Life of Pablo. Kanye performed “Highlights” and “Ultra Light Beams” from his latest tracklist. We’ve seen the outrage involved with the release, the insane hype involved with the hype and some who seemed underwhelmed by the album in general.
Kanye made the announcement live on Saturday Night Live after he performed.
Yeezy streamed the entirety of his new album live at Madison Square Garden on Thursday where he also premiered his new clothing range “Yeezy Season 3”, and showed a trailer for a video game he is developing about his mother’s death.
At the end of the wild performance, West frantically announced that his new album, The Life of Pablo, was out on his web site-which didn’t prove exactly true.
The album wouldn’t load on Tidal until almost 2 a.m. and there was no sign of T.L.O.P. on KanyeWest.com at that time, either.
UPDATE: As of press time, neither the Tidal stream nor the online shop for Kanye’s album have gone live.
Kanye is the next big name since Beyonce to use Jay-Z’s subscription-based streaming service as a launching point for his new music. It’s unclear if Kanye ever responded to Shkreli’s tweet or took his offer seriously. He wrote “I love my brother”.
