Blame me – Rafa Benitez
Rivaldo may have played for Real Madrid’s arch rivals Barcelona, but that hasn’t stopped him from predicting who the former’s next coach would be, according to 101GreatGoals.
And Rivaldo seemed to join the rumour mongers when he took to his Instagram account after the game to name Real Madrid’s supposed new coach – Zinedine Zidane! After Iniesta scored his goal to go up 3-0, Barca brought in Messi and he helped set up the second goal for Suarez.
It was not just the goals they scored, but how they scored them.
Luis Suarez showed great skill to put Barcelona in the lead in the 11th minute.
“When things don’t go well, that’s when we must be more united”.
Suarez and Neymar ensured Barcelona did not miss the Argentine too much during his two months out, scoring all 19 of the club’s La Liga goals before Iniesta struck at the Bernabeu.
Balague said: “There is no way whatsoever that this kind of performance – we’re not even talking about the result – but the performance will have no consequences”.
“We need to get over this and focus on the next match as soon as possible”, said Benitez.
Luis Enrique greets Rafa Benitez as he prepares for his first Clasico, Real Madrid v Barcelona, 21 November 2015.
The first half was very complete for us.
Asked if this was the preferred XI of the Bernabeu hierarchy – a clear reference to club chief Perez – Benitez said he had chosen a team full of quality but the gameplan had not worked out.
“I don’t think Real Madrid gave up”. “We are at the beginning of the project, we have confidence and there are still plenty of games left to play”. “What I’m most concerned about now is getting the team to recover mentally in time for the next match”.
“For me this game will not be definitive for La Liga although it is very nice if you win at the home of your biggest rivals”.
“We did it on occasion, but at other moments we couldn’t and we were made to pay. The game is more of a reflection of our merits than Madrid’s faults”.
