Bleachers Give Away Female-Fronted ‘Terrible Thrills Vol. 2’ Album for Free
In addition to Sia and Charli XCX, other artists who have contributed songs include Carly Rae Jepsen, Sara Bareilles, and Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks.
“I hear my songs being sung by females before I change them and make them into my voice”. That’s why so many Bleachers’ songs are sung so low.
Bleachers’ Debut album has been re-released with a female twist to the vocals from the original. “The whole heart of this idea is for people to hear the album the way I hear it in my head, reinterpreted by the artists who sort of inspired it to be written in the first place”.
The first awful Thrills project was a covers album based on a record by another of his bands, Steel Train. He is also hosting a one-day New Jersey-centric festival that is called Shadow of the City on September 19th.
The new project is titled bad Thrills, Vol. 2 – “vol. 2” because Bleachers frontman Jack Antonoff has done this before.
“Lucius completely reinterpreted “Wake Me, ‘ and turned it into this entirely different song which blew my mind”, says Antonoff”.
