Boat of missing teens found off Florida
Namath appealed to anyone who may have information on the location of the boys, Austin Stephanos and Perry Cohen, to please come forward.
She said: ‘It is not ruled out by any means whatsoever, ‘ adding she is grateful for the diligence of the Coast Guard and other agencies involved in the search for her son.
Fourteen-year-old Perry Cohen and Austin Stephanos were last seen about 1:30 p.m Friday in Jupiter as they spent $100 on fuel for their 19-foot center console fishing boat.
The Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office is also assisting in the search, officials said. So far, the search so far has covered over 14,000 square nautical miles.
The Coast Guard said a social media post by one of the boys indicated they may have been headed toward the Bahamas.
TEQUESTA, Fla. (AP) NFL Hall of Famer Joe Namath is offering a $100,000 reward in the search for two teenage fishermen along Florida’s Atlantic coast. We’ve got to believe in their wherewithal, and we have some confidence in that area, no doubt.
“We’re all praying”, Namath continued.
“We think, clearly, that people want two boys rescued without money…”
“We are positive that our boys are still out there,”, said Nick Korniloff, Cohen’s stepfather, in a press conference, with Namath standing next to him.
