Boat of missing teens found off Florida; Namath offers help
Fears are growing for the safety of two young teenagers who have been missing at sea for two days.
They were last seen at around 1.30pm on Friday buying fuel for their 19ft boat – and search planes, helicopters, two Coast Guard cutters and smaller boat crews have been involved in the rescue effort.
Authorities in the Bahamas have also been notified about the missing teens, Barney said, because of reports that Perry and Austin had talked about heading to the island nation.
The Coast Guard has already searched more than 5,000 nautical square miles with no sign of the boat.
They think the teens were just joking.
“It is not ruled out by any means whatsoever”, Pamela Cohen, Perry’s mother told the newspaper about the possibility of them being in the Bahamas.
Perry’s mother, Pam Tevi Cohen, said that a $60,000 reward is being offered for information leading to the boys’ safe return. ‘”And knowing there’s nothing you can really do to help them”.
Football Hall of Famer Joe Namath, a neighbor of the families who knows both teenagers, joined the parents at a news conference on Sunday, according to ABC News. Perry is just as sharp as can be.

“We’ll keep on looking until we find them”, the Super Bowl-winning quarterback said.
Barney said the Coast Guard believes the boys don’t have many supplies or a communication device on board because they were not planning to be out on the water overnight.
“Austin, this is his fourth boat”, Black added. He enjoys fishing, skateboarding and playing sports, they said.
