Bobby Wesson’s heartfelt note about his wife is going viral; But why?
This is my wife Rayena Wesson taking a nap.
She sometimes talks about what she’s seen. He describes her routine before her 14-hour shift: waking up to drink a cup of coffee, but remaining quiet and thoughtful. The post has been shared well over 140,000 times.
“My wife and I are both amazed and humbled by how far this has traveled, and by all of the notes and stories that people all over the world have shared with us”, he wrote on Facebook. He has now slammed the “crazy” private messages he has received on the social network, by sharing a video he made last month asking women not to send him lascivious messages because he loves his wife, has a baby, and would never betray his spouse’s trust.
Wesson’s post begins with writing about his wife’s daily schedule. Bobby claimed he didn’t even read the insane Facebook messages he was receiving, and said he didn’t want them.
‘Car wrecks, gunshot wounds, explosions, burns and breaks – professionals, poor, pastors, addicts and prostitutes – mothers, fathers, sons, daughters and families’. Rayena works as a trauma nurse at a hospital in Birmingham.
Bobby Wesson (left, with son) said that his wife (right) is a hero who takes care of many different kinds of people “having the worst day of their entire lives”.
“As a fellow nurse of almost 30 years, thank you so much for this”.
Wesson says she will work 14 hours, come home and change, taking off her shoes that have walked through “blood, bile, tears, and fire” and leaving them outside.
“Sometimes she will laugh until she cries and sometimes she will just cry – but regardless of those sometimes she will be on time for her next shift”.
Besides shares and likes, the post has also drawn thousands of emotional comments celebrating trauma nurses’ often unsung heroics.
The proud partner was quick to confirm that his wife “flinches” at being called a hero and paid tribute to the team of doctors and nurses she works with.
