Body found in search for missing boy | Calendar
He was reported missing a short while later, and this morning Conley’s family and friends were becoming increasingly anxious about him.
A seven-year-old boy has gone missing after failing to return home from a park in South Yorkshire where he was playing with friends on Sunday.
The body was found at around 8.30am today on a construction site.
“His family have been informed and they are being supported by specialist officers”.
Officers say he didn’t turn up and was reported missing shortly after.
“While it is early in the investigation, the death is being treated as unexplained and a post-mortem examination will take place in due course”.
Conley Thompson, seven, was last seen at around 8pm yesterday evening when he left Locke Park, Barnsley, to go home over a mile away in Underwood Avenue, Worsbrough.
But the youngster failed to arrive back home in the Worsbrough area of the town, around a two-mile walk from the park.
Police have made a number of enquiries to trace Conley’s location.
