Body Of Missing Syracuse Baby Maddox Found Dead In Water

Crews began looking in parts of the town of Lysander by the Three Rivers State Game Management area Monday night. Police said he has not been charged or arrested.
Community members also gathered throughout the night to search themselves.
Lawrence was taken into police custody Sunday night, and was seen with authorities near the search at the Inner Harbor on Tuesday, Syracuse.com reported. He was picked up Monday evening, but his daughter was nowhere to be found.
Officers found Lawrence walking on Downer Street.
Syracuse Police Chief Frank Fowler told the station there was an additional area in Tully police were considering searching for the missing child, but the bulk of the search Tuesday remained near the harbor.
Lawrence was arrested after he was spotted going into the Thrifty Shopper to purchase a comforter.
Employees said Lawrence “smelled like a campfire”, which initially stuck out to them. The caller was a former worker at the store, who said she recognized the suspect in the AMBER Alert.
The Amber Alert for Maddox Lawrence remains active.
They say she may have been taken by her father, 24-year-old Ryan Lawrence.
