Boil Water Advisory Issued For East Bank Of NO
Pressure readings dropped below minimum safe levels system-wide, prompting the boil advisory.
Parish officials said the Louisiana Office of Public Health confirmed 13 of the 14 samples taken from Reserve, Garyville and Mount Airy in Water District No. 1 were negative.

In July, a power failure at the Carrollton plant led to an advisory that was in effect for over 30 hours. Other projects are in the works to help build redundancy into the system.
The Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans issued the advisory Wednesday evening for all residents on the east bank.
The Sewerage & Water Board is advising all customers to boil tap water for one minute before using it for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, bathing or showering, or preparing or rinsing food.
Residents can still bathe and shower, but should be careful not to swallow water. The water board suggests a sponge bath for them to reduce the chance they swallow the water.
The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit has issued a boil water advisory for Boblo Island.
Until then, the boil water advisory is still is effect. S&WB will notify residents when the advisory is lifted. The one-minute boil begins after the water has been brought to a rolling boil.
